Converting redundant buildings for new uses is often an economic and sustainable way for meeting new business needs. Here we converted part of a redundant production building into a successful Centre for Advanced Wound Management Research.
The structure of the building was re clad providing energy efficiency, daylight and thermal comfort for the occupants. Openable windows and wind catchers provide 100 per cent fresh air.
Internal layouts streamline work flows, improve communications and encourage synergies. The whole innovation process has accelerated and the Centre has become an important hub for business and technology integration.
